    Meet at 9am on the first day of the course to sail ... You don't have to worry about provisioning.

    The morning is the key time to understand the basics of how the sailboat works, the wind, the points of sail, the instruments... through maneuvers and steering the catamaran.


    We share experiences and expectations. You'll get acquainted with the boat, the rest of the crew (maximum 5 people), the sailing area, and the nautical charts during a 5-6 hour sailing trip, with a possible midday stopover! Everyone is involved in the maneuvers and daily life on board.


    The bivouac takes place on the beach, or rocked by the waves on the catamaran's trampoline, in double tents or single berths in the hulls.

Depending on motivation, team level and weather opportunities, we may sail in the evening and/or at night.


Plan to arrive in Port Manec'h the day before the training course, before 6 pm, to check the map/weather and for a possible early departure if conditions are favorable. In that case, it will be a short stage.


Plan to be available the day after the course so you can postpone your return in case of severe weather (rare). Or visit the area around Port Manec'h, which is truly idyllic.

You will camp on the beach or be rocked by the waves on the boat's trampoline , in double tents .

There are also 2 single berths in the hulls.



Restabern is a Formula 40 racing catamaran (currently Multi 2000 class) winner of the SNSM trophy in 2005 and 2014.

In 2018, Restabern set its sights on sharing by becoming a sailing school. The goal was to make the advancements of the last 30 years accessible to the general public.

The course ends in Port Manec'h on the last day between 5 pm and 6 pm, after a short hour of tidying up and a debriefing. However, please be available the day after the course to allow time to postpone your return in case of severe weather (which is rare).
