Want to skipper a sailboat independently? Then this "skipper" level sailing course on a catamaran (equivalent to FFV levels 3/4 ) is for you! Develop your sailing skills during this course and enjoy your stay aboard a comfortable and easy-to-handle Lagoon catamaran. You'll set sail to discover a Mediterranean sailing area between the Calanques of Marseille and the Îles d'Or ( Porquerolles, Port-Cros ). Welcome to one of the most beautiful sailing areas in France ! You'll validate your FFV learning levels and the miles sailed thanks to the personalized instruction of your professional sailing instructor .
This course is intended for people aiming for autonomy in sailing a sailboat with a view to a rental or purchase project, or simply to complete their knowledge .

For those who have already completed an intermediate-level course (*stage évolution*) at an FFV-affiliated center. You have sailed for more than 20 days on a sailboat over 8 meters in length, having participated in: docking maneuvers, sail trimming, chart navigation, course tracking and dead reckoning, and watch-keeping. OR For those capable of single-handed maneuvers (reefing, tacking, gybing) or who have sailed as skipper (charter or private). The coastal license, CRR (Short Range Certificate), and offshore license are recommended for this level but are not mandatory.

Welcome to Marseille for your "skipper" level sailing course on a cruising catamaran. Marseille, with its commercial, passenger, and marina ports, as well as its status as an Olympic city for the sailing events of the Paris 2024 Games, is an essential stopover. You will embark from the port of Corbières, in the harbor of Marseille, with access to the boat from 2 pm.

Your first day of sailing on a cruising catamaran takes you across the bay of Marseille, the site of the 2024 Olympic sailing events, and along the Calanques National Park. You'll stop for lunch and a swim before continuing your course eastward. You'll spend your first night at anchor in the Port-Miou cove.

The sailing course on a cruising catamaran continues eastward, along the rugged and dramatic coastline. You pass the Bec de l'Aigle (Eagle's Beak) and its semaphore station, well-known to sailors. In the evening, you stop over in the traditional Mediterranean port of Sanary-sur-Mer.

The sailing course on a cruising catamaran continues towards the Hyères Islands, nicknamed the Golden Islands, true jewels of our coastline. After rounding Cap Sicié, you'll stop for lunch in Langoustiers Bay. You'll then resume your course in the early afternoon, stopping at Port-Cros if the weather permits.

Porquerolles

Head west for your return to Marseille. Anchor and swim at Cap Bénat. Stop in the evening at the port of Porquerolles. This small village is very popular during the day, but only a select few and sailors can enjoy it in the evening. We recommend having dinner in the village square unless you prefer to spend the night at anchor on your catamaran.
Day 5 -
The Calanques and the Frioul Islands

Take advantage of this day to improve your sailing skills and sail trimming. You will spend the night at anchor or in the port of Frioul, in the bay of Marseille.

Enjoy this last day of sailing to hone your sailing skills and benefit from the expert advice and teaching methods of your sailing instructor. Then, you'll lower the sails as the port of Corbières comes into view on the horizon. Your course ends at 5 pm.

🚢 Sailing cruise ship - Days 1 to 7
For the entire duration of the internship, you will be accommodated in a shared double cabin on board a catamaran sailboat. It is possible to reserve a private cabin (optional).
Our Lagoon catamarans feature four double cabins with private bathrooms. The catamarans are equipped with all the necessary safety, cooking, and comfort equipment to ensure a comfortable and safe stay.
