Surfing between ocean and desert in Agadir, Morocco

Let's take the plunge!

We came for several reasons, but the one thing we're guaranteed is that we're going to hit the ocean! We're heading to the surf school to get our bearings, discuss our level, our expectations... choose our board and launch ourselves into the waves! Two hours to face our new environment, and we'll have earned a good lunch on the beach to share our exploits.

Shall we go back?

Even if the plan is to head back out like Kelly Slater, we're giving ourselves the choice of going back to brave the waves or chilling this early afternoon, while waiting to take our local break and discover the Kasbah of Agadir, and in style: we're doing it at sunset, to feast our eyes on the view. After all, that's what we're here for, right?

We then return to the villa for dinner, to debrief with the Moroccan surfing champion (no less!) to make our first assessment of the stay!

One morning on the stage

But not just any waves: we're going to put our initial learning into practice by heading out for another session in the waves.

Two hours later, there is no doubt that we will have already seen our progress, which we will share over lunch on the beach.

A healthy mind in a healthy body

We might be a little tired, but what better way to take care of ourselves than by participating in a local cooking workshop? Of course, the local cuisine is one of the finest in the world and we will be eager to discover it.

We'll take some time to enjoy the afternoon before treating ourselves to a sunset yoga session. If you've forgotten we're here to have a good time, this will be a gentle reminder!

Back to the villa in the evening for our daily surf debrief and why not go and discover the local nightlife?

We're dedicating this day to all kinds of surfing! We're starting this morning with an early morning session in the waves, following the same routine we're beginning to master. After lunch, it's the perfect opportunity to try sandboarding, or surfing... on sand!

From Tamri National Park and its small desert, we're going to try sandboarding. The sensations are completely different, and above all, you won't risk swallowing any water (well... we don't recommend trying it) - however, a typical Moroccan snack with a cup of tea at sunset is hard to resist!

We're off again to tame the waves

It's our 5th day and we've pretty much got the hang of it: we can identify the waves, we get ready, we feel the board lift off, we stand up, we ride... and we do it all again! Isn't life beautiful, honestly?

Local visit

This afternoon, we're going to visit another legendary Moroccan surf spot: Taghazout. This former fishing village is also attractive because of the quality of its waves, but especially because of its charm. We're going to explore its heart (will it win our hearts?), its little shops, its relaxing atmosphere, and its internationally renowned skatepark.

Immersing oneself in the local culture

Day 6, needless to say, we're in top form. This session allows us to put all our experience to good use and have a blast! We can already hear everyone's stories during our usual lunch on the beach...

And this afternoon, it's time to immerse ourselves in the local culture once again, and perhaps start bringing back some souvenirs to remind us of this incredible experience. What better place than the city's bustling local market? Souk El Had awaits, offering a vibrant mix of colors and aromas, a chance to discover local crafts (and maybe even pick up a few magnets for your fridge).

Last day, let's make it an exceptional day!

We're off to a great start: a hearty breakfast and then we're heading out to face the waves together for our last session. With our daily debrief, we'll be ready to finish the week strong and shine brightly on every wave that comes our way!

Visit to Paradise Valley

As you can imagine, this day will be simply magical: Paradise Valley will offer us a magical setting to swim and chill, relive the week and feel good!

Back at the villa, we enjoy our last dinner together and toast to this stay which has disconnected us from our daily lives and brought us all together!

The time has come to say goodbye, or rather, to prepare to meet again in a different setting! We'll take the time to celebrate this adventure-filled week, and then head to the airport for those of us who are already returning home. See you soon!
