From Cap Skirring to Diembering, discover the rich Diola culture, its centuries-old cheesemakers, its villages, and its museum, accompanied by a local guide. On a mountain bike, at your own pace, along roads and beaches, immerse yourself in the Casamance region and follow in the footsteps of animist culture and its fetishes. This morning will take you to the village of Diembering, where you will visit the sacred well and the women's vegetable garden before having lunch at a local restaurant.

The afternoon and evening are free, we will give you our best tips according to your desires at the moment.

The islands are an integral part of our region's identity and history. Carabane, a colonial trading post from which slaves were shipped to Dakar; Wendaye, the island with its sacred grove and verdant rice paddies, which we will explore on a hike; Ehidj, the island of the fetish priests; Cachouane, the tranquil island where we can relax and enjoy the scenery and local cuisine... This day trip by pirogue, departing from Katakalousse, will allow you to discover this string of magnificent places, navigating through the heart of the bolongs (tidal creeks), passing by Bird Island. A day of discovery in its purest form, where dolphins might even make an appearance!

In the evening, it's a quiet dinner in Nio Far!

The day begins with a brisk walk along the beach towards the village of Cap Skirring for your surf lesson. Along the way, we'll pass through the fishing village with its enormous, colorful pirogues. There, your instructor will teach you how to ride the waves or simply watch you progress, depending on your skill level. The lesson is preceded by a briefing on currents and safety instructions. With white sand beaches and coconut palms as your backdrop, you're in for a treat! After the lesson, we'll return to Nio Far either along the beach or by car, depending on your preference. The daily special will be waiting for you there. The afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy at your leisure!

The hike starts from the village of Boucotte. You'll then cross rice paddies and forests, accompanied by Demba, an exceptional guide who will explain everything about the surrounding nature. It's his passion, and he shares it with talent and enthusiasm. This hike will allow you to discover the secrets of medicinal plants, their traditional uses, and which animal leaves which tracks. After a 2.5-hour walk, you'll board a pirogue in the bolongs (mangrove channels) to travel to Wendaye. Lunch will be served on the water. The evening is free.

The most beautiful pirogue trip in the area, through the heart of the bolongs (tidal creeks), sheltered by lush nature. A magnificent journey to discover the village of impluvium houses. After lunch by the water, you will visit the village, its huts, and its fetishes. On the return trip, you will stop at Oussouye to meet the King in his sacred grove. In the evening, dinner at Nio Far.

Head to the village of Diakene Ouolof for a trip to Egueye Island and its crocodile-infested bolong (mangrove channel). To explore this mangrove inlet, you'll paddle a canoe through the heart of this pristine natural environment. You'll observe small crocodiles perched on their lookout posts. If you're lucky, dolphins might even come to greet you... This paddling excursion will take you to Egueye Island. Once ashore, enjoy a leisurely hike to explore the area and perhaps spot some curious but discreet monkeys! Have lunch on the island before boarding your canoe again to return to Diakene.

The evening is free and as usual with our best advice and always the possibility of staying chill at Nio Far and ordering a dish!

Morning fishing by dugout canoe on the border with Guinea-Bissau. Monkfish, Nile perch, false cod, red snapper... the place teems with fish. Catch and release if you wish, fish for the villagers or for the evening meal in Nio Far, it's up to you! We head towards the village of Boudiediet, crossing an endless expanse of rice paddies, to arrive in this village at the very tip of Senegal. On the other side of the river is Bissau.

After a long morning of fishing, lunch in the village of Cabrousse. Free late afternoon and dinner at Nio Far, barbecue with your catch available!

The time has come to depart. Leaving to return, as they say in the land of Teranga! After breakfast, you will need to vacate your room. Transfer to Cap Skirring airport or the bus station. Safe travels home!
