Excellent stay, a real change of scenery, a breath of fresh air. We had magnificent weather. Good to know: in July/August, all buses are free in Annecy (except for the Y51). For trips from the train station to the hostel, you can take the 27 or the S4 (check out the SIBRA website, it's very well done). These free shuttles take you up to Semnoz or the Col de la Forclaz for hiking or paragliding. We were able to do some without booking in advance, but it's still preferable if you can. A lovely bike ride around the lake, a quick stop at the "Le Bon Wagon" cycling café, a perfect spot (dedicated to bikes, for rentals, repairs, food, or just a chat :)). We also explored the nature reserve at the far end of the lake. Lunch after paddleboarding was excellent by the lake; the partnership with the restaurant was fantastic. Please note that it takes about an hour to walk to the paddleboard rental or to pick up the bikes (or 40 minutes by bus), but you're on vacation, you have the time, and it's really worth going to the other side of the lake for this excellent provider and the more scenic paddleboarding experience on that side. A very enjoyable stay with some wonderful encounters.
