Family multi-activities in the Queyras

This morning's warm-up hike will be a feast for the eyes! You'll discover two landscapes in a short time: the Guillestre plateau, offering an incredible view of the highest peaks of the Écrins massif and the citadel of Montdauphin, fortified by Vauban, followed by the deep Guil gorges. Let's explore the Rue des Masques (Street of Masks), whose name hides a mysterious side...

To cool off, you'll discover the Durance, an internationally renowned emerald-hued river. The route allows you to experience the activity safely and without fear: in your aquatic astronaut suit, you'll descend playful rapids, swim in secluded spots inaccessible by road, and even jump off rocks! In short, for your adventurous Robinsons, this refreshing whitewater descent is designed to be easy and fun.

Morning: Walk - The Chagne and Panacelle valley

We set off on foot from the center for a walk that takes us to the heights between Guillestre and Risoul village, into the heart of a small valley where our ancestors built irrigation canals to bring water to their pastures. We will be bathed in the sunlight of the sunny side of the valley and the shade of the larch forest on the shady side.

Afternoon: Tree climbing

We invite you to find some respite from the heat at altitude in the heart of a pine and larch forest. Head to Vars to discover a treetop adventure course suitable for children aged 8 and up. On these courses, you can watch your children progress from the ground, or try the adventure yourself and follow your little ones up into the trees…

Morning: Mountain bike ride

Whether you're a budding biker or a seasoned young rider, this morning will be above all fun, easy, and suitable for everyone. In short, it's all about family fun! Accompanied by an instructor, you'll ride safely along a route by the Durance River, and maybe even dip your toes in the water! A truly enjoyable experience with a progression tailored to each individual.

Afternoon: free

A time for you, with your family, to discover at your own pace the local sights: the Petrifying Fountain, the hot springs of Plan du Phazy, or simply to do nothing: refreshment by the water or lake of Serre-Ponçon!

At the end of the day, you meet your guide to finalize the preparation of your bag.

We're off to spend a night high in the mountains at an exceptional location. These two days will primarily be an opportunity to gain some altitude and understand the challenges of this small haven of life amidst the alpine pastures. We set off at a leisurely pace mid-morning, with a short transfer allowing us to discover the Guil Gorges and the Château Queyras promontory. We ascend through the heart of the larch forest to our starting point, a truly breathtaking vantage point overlooking the Gorges! The hiking route begins gently, along a pleasant balcony trail, before reaching the alpine pasture and the mountain refuge.

To conclude this week, we'll explore one of the most beautiful and typical alpine pastures of the Queyras region, with no fewer than 300 small chalets, a testament to a once very active way of life. We might spot some marmots and undoubtedly a few ungulates... The Queyras peaks will always be a backdrop, particularly the Font-Sancte massif, which rises to over 3,200 meters! We'll return to the vehicles in the late afternoon, then transfer to the holiday center.
