Argentina in all its glory: cycling, diving, paddling

Today, you'll explore the origins of Buenos Aires by bicycle with your guide: traditional houses, lively streets, and locals who embody the spirit of the barrios , united by two timeless passions: tango and football. Your route includes the South Coast Ecological Reserve, as well as San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero, and Montserrat.

Optional activities:

1. Milonga evening and tango lessons (€188/person)

At 10 pm, depart from the hotel with your French-speaking guide for a milonga (a social venue where tango enthusiasts gather to dance): group lesson for beginners, dinner, and dancing until the early hours. Return to your hotel at your leisure.

The driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the bus station.

Night bus from Buenos Aires to Puerto Madryn.

Departure at 8pm, arrival the next day at 2pm (1300km, comfortable seat reclining to 140°, small blanket and pillow provided, toilet on board, snacks & water included).

Arrival in Puerto Madryn at 2pm and private transfer from the bus terminal to the hotel.

This morning, your driver will take you for a day exploring the Valdés Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

First stop: the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Centre, which showcases the region's natural beauty. Next, you'll head to Puerto Pirámides to observe whales from the shore or at sea, depending on the season.

Further along, in Caleta Valdés, an observatory allows you to admire elephant seals and, with a bit of luck, orcas during the breeding season.

On the way back, we stopped in front of a colony of Magellanic penguins.

Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

The peninsula is home to exceptional wildlife: whales (June–Dec.), penguins (Sept.–Mar.), sea lions and elephant seals (all year), orcas (Sept.–Apr.), dolphins (Dec.–Mar.) and birds (all year).

Optional activity:

1. Whale watching tour (June to December €146/person): Embark from Puerto Pirámides for a 90-minute rigid inflatable boat trip to encounter southern right whales. A rare and moving experience, subject to weather conditions (possible rescheduling to the afternoon).
2. Piquilline Trek (September to March, €132/person): In the heart of the Valdés Peninsula, Estancia San Lorenzo reveals a preserved territory where nature and history meet. The Piquilline Trek is a gentle walk that leads to the largest Magellanic penguin colony on the continent.

Have you never dived but would like to experience a close encounter with sea lions?

Go snorkeling in the cool waters of the Punta Loma reserve. Accompanied by your instructor, and equipped with your wetsuit (7mm neoprene), mask, snorkel, and fins (included), you'll be guided step by step through this gentle and accessible immersion. A thrilling and joyful experience, where the animals sometimes approach curiously.

Activity duration: 2h30 (45 min snorkeling and 25 min boat ride to get to the location).

At the end of the activity, your driver will take you and your luggage to the Puerto Madryn bus station. You will then take a bus to Viedma (a 6-hour journey in a comfortable bus, giving you plenty of time to rest after this morning's dive!).

Upon your arrival at Viedma bus station, your driver will greet you with a sign bearing your name and will take you to your accommodation.

Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to Viedma train station.

Embark on the legendary Tren Patagónico for an unforgettable journey across the steppe. From the wild plains of Viedma to the mountains of Bariloche, this train connects the two extremes of Patagonia in a timeless atmosphere. Sleeper cabins, a dining car, and encounters with locals punctuate this authentic trip. A railway interlude to slow down, contemplate, and experience Argentina in a different way. Your train departs at 6:00 PM and arrives at 12:30 PM the following day.

This train runs every Friday.

Upon your arrival at the station, a driver will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name; he will take you to your hotel where you will settle in.

Free afternoon to enjoy the panoramas of Bariloche and stroll near the lake.

This morning, you travel to the Peuma Hue estancia by public transport, on the shores of the peaceful Lake Gutiérrez.

On the agenda: a day spent in nature, silence and contemplation.

Upon arrival, a guide will warmly welcome you and prepare you for the excursion, taking into account the day's weather and the group's preferences. Keep your eyes peeled as you navigate the waters: ducks, trout, kingfishers, hualas, and cormorants inhabit these calm waters. The landscape reveals the silhouettes of Cerro Catedral and Cerro Ventana, as well as the surrounding forests. You'll stop at Playa Muños Bay for a peaceful lunch, practically with your feet in the water. Then, you'll gently make your way back, soothed by the light and the lapping of the lake.

Note: If the weather is too bad for kayaking, we will offer you other sporting activities as a replacement!

Your driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the community. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including 1 hour on unpaved roads.

Upon arriving in the community of Zulema, you prepare your horse and set off for a day's ride into the heart of the steppe. Your guide, a member of the local community, shares stories and legends with you along the way. Silence surrounds you, broken only by the wind on your shoulders. You climb to various viewpoints offering spectacular views of the mountains. In the distance, you can make out Chile. At midday, you share a picnic lunch in the peaceful natural surroundings. You return to the community in the late afternoon, your heart still filled with the memories of the landscapes you have traversed.

Return to your hotel in Bariloche at the end of the day.
