You will sleep in single-sex shared dormitory
The mountain huts are heated and staffed, with small dormitories for added comfort. Beds are equipped with duvets, and slippers are usually provided.
Day 1 - Village hotel in Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne.
Day 2 - Drayères Refuge: dormitories for 8, running water and sometimes showers available. Recently renovated, the refuge may, very rarely, be unguarded, but experience shows that this does not detract from the friendly atmosphere of the night.
Day 3 - Tre Alpini Refuge: Comfortable dormitories for 4 to 6 people, running water, and showers available. Although the Vallée Étroite is French, road access is only possible from Italy. Ricardo will help you appreciate the warm atmosphere and typical pasta of Italian mountain huts.
Day 4 - Thabor Refuge: Dormitories for 15 people, without running water, but with recently installed dry toilets inside. The meal arrangements and typical sleeping arrangements (bunk beds) offer a true mountain refuge experience.
Day 5 - Terre Rouge Refuge: one night in dormitories for 4 to 10 people, with running water and sometimes showers available. This recently opened refuge (2017) allows for an additional stage on the Tour du Thabor, avoiding the long descent to Valmeinier.
