This ski touring course will take you to discover the Italian region of Valle d'Aosta and the summit of Gran Paradiso at 4,061 meters, located in the heart of Gran Paradiso National Park, the largest national park in Europe. On the first day, depending on weather and snow conditions, you will either ski off-piste in the Courmayeur area or go ski touring. This first day is designed to get you warmed up and allow you to get to know each other and ski together at a relaxed pace before heading out to climb Gran Paradiso. This ski touring course is suitable for people who have already done several ski touring trips and who dream of reaching an altitude of 4,000 meters on skis!

    You will meet your guide at 9:00 AM in Valsavarenche. We will begin the ascent to the Chabod refuge; the route will be chosen by the guide based on your fitness level and the snow and weather conditions. Once at the refuge, you can leave some of your equipment before continuing for a short additional climb and enjoying a beautiful descent on the way back. The afternoon will be dedicated to rest or avalanche search training with your guide. You will prepare and adjust your equipment to be ready for the next day's climb and enjoy the comfort of the refuge to relax and have a pleasant evening!

    The program is provided as a guideline and may be modified depending on weather conditions or the group's physical condition. The guide may suggest alternatives, such as a safety day in a snowy environment or climbing another peak in the area.

Via Chamonix Mont Blanc - you can reach Chamonix by train from the main French airports or Geneva Airport - then you can reach Courmayeur, Aosta Valley, via the Mont Blanc Tunnel (bus connections exist from Chamonix to the Aosta Valley, but if you want freedom of movement, it is advisable to rent a car). IMPORTANT: upon exiting the Mont Blanc Tunnel, do not take the motorway towards Aosta, but stay on the normal road (blue signs) which goes towards Courmayeur; this will save you an extra 20 minutes and €20 in motorway tolls. Via Geneva or Martigny - you can easily reach Martigny by train from Geneva Airport - then you reach the city center of Aosta via the Great St. Bernard Tunnel (bus connections exist from Martigny to the Aosta Valley, but if you want freedom of movement, it is advisable to rent a car).
