    Welcome to Valbruna , in the heart of the Saisera Valley , for a first day focused on familiarizing yourself with the equipment and the fundamentals of safety. After checking your gear and putting on your skins, your guide will introduce you to the use of an avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe , then to reading the terrain and managing avalanche risk. A gentle initial climb through forests and clearings will allow you to get a feel for the pace, balance, kick turns , and initial transitions . The elevation gain remains moderate, around 500 to 700 meters , to prioritize learning.

    Back in the valley in the afternoon, time is set aside for a technical debriefing , followed by a relaxation or stretching session. You will spend the night in a 3-star hotel in Tarvisio or Valbruna , with half-board, for a well-deserved rest before the next part of the adventure.
