By train:

The two nearest French train stations are Thonon-les-Bains and Évian-les-Bains (located approximately 40 km from the resort). You can also arrive via Aigle train station in Switzerland (30 minutes from the resort).

  1. Travel from Paris : Take a direct or connecting TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon to Thonon-les-Bains station (allow approximately 4h30 to 5h total journey time).
  2. Connections from the train station to the accommodation :

By bus : From the Thonon-les-Bains transport hub, the regular bus line 12 (as well as the VEX line on weekends during peak season) will take you to the center of Châtel in approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes (a bus ticket usually costs a few euros). Please note that service is less frequent outside of peak season and on public holidays.
  4. By taxi : Private shuttles and taxis operate from Thonon or Évian train stations. The fare for a journey ranges from €90 to €130 (for 1 to 4 people depending on the time of day).

By car:

  1. From Paris (approximately 6 hours 45 minutes drive) : Take the A6 motorway then the A40 towards Geneva. Then follow the signs for Thonon-les-Bains, then take the D902 and D22 departmental roads towards the "Vallée d'Abondance – Châtel".
  2. From Thonon-les-Bains (approximately 45 minutes) : Take the D22 towards Abondance / Châtel and follow the main road to the resort.
Good to know (Free parking): The Linga car park (located on the Pré la Joux road) offers 300 spaces and is completely free all year round . The covered or metered car parks in the village centre (such as the one at the Church or Barbossine) are only free during the off-season; they become paid parking during the winter and summer tourist seasons.
