Discovery and diving in Vietnam - Nha Trang

Breakfast at the hotel. We will then travel to Cu Chi where your cooking class will take place at a botanical farm. You will learn not only how to cook but also how to use ingredients for medicinal purposes. You will discover a medicinal herb garden and a mushroom workshop. You will select herbs and plants with the help of our chef, who will teach you how to prepare some typical Vietnamese dishes. Lunch at the farm.

Before returning to Saigon, visit the underground tunnels dug by the Vietnamese during the war against the Americans. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay at the Saigon hotel.

In the morning, after breakfast, meet your guide and driver for your departure towards My Tho. Upon arrival, we will board a boat and cruise on the Tien River.

We will visit a coconut milk candy factory, a local specialty, and a bee farm. We'll sample tropical fruits in a garden while listening to "Don ca tai tu," traditional local folk music. Afterwards, you'll travel along a small canal in a traditional boat. After lunch, we'll head towards Cho Lach. We'll stop en route to visit a bonsai village, then transfer to a rural guesthouse. Settle in and enjoy some free time to appreciate the natural surroundings and the beauty of the area. At the end of the day, we'll prepare dinner with instructions from the owners. Breakfast followed by a bike ride to discover this pretty village surrounded by fruit orchards. Meeting the locals and discovering their daily activities.

We will leave Ben Tre and continue our journey towards the capital of the Mekong Delta. We will visit a Cao Dai temple before continuing on to Can Tho. Upon arrival, you will visit the very typical Binh Thuy Old House. Its unique architecture has been featured in several famous films, such as "The Lover," based on the novel by Marguerite Duras. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Can Tho.

After breakfast, we'll start the day early with a visit to the Cai Rang floating market, one of the most vibrant and important markets in the region. You'll discover unique, lively scenes as a multitude of boats laden with fruits and other foodstuffs intertwine, creating an amazing spectacle of life. Then, you'll take a local boat for about 10 minutes to Con Son. This is a very peaceful village, perfect for strolling along its narrow paths, visiting fruit orchards, and meeting the locals. After lunch, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City. We'll stop en route to visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda. Dinner is at your leisure, and you'll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Breakfast then departure for Cat Tien National Park, located 150km from Ho Chi Minh City, which covers an area of ​​720km2 and protects one of the largest remaining lowland tropical forest areas in Vietnam.

Upon arrival, have lunch and prepare for our mid-afternoon excursion. We'll enjoy a bike ride through a section of primary forest with numerous tree species (ginger trees are in bloom between June and September). It's a wonderful opportunity to admire birds and animals, including primates.

In the early evening, our nighttime expedition will begin in a jeep that will take us through the forest to Nui Tuong. The guide will use a spotlight to try and spot a deer or wild boar "having its dinner." Another excellent opportunity to discover wildlife by encountering civets, fishing cats, lorises, pangolins, gaurs, or various nocturnal bird species…

After breakfast, we'll visit the wildlife rescue center, then depart by jeep for 9 km, followed by a 5 km walk. Another opportunity to discover the rich flora and fauna of the park.

We arrive at Bau Sau, home to crocodiles that are well protected and managed by the park's forestry department. The area can reach 2,500 hectares during the rainy season and shrinks to 100-150 hectares during the dry season. This area is home not only to crocodiles but also to many other valuable species listed in Vietnam's Red Book.

After your lunch, continue the walk and then meet our driver for the transfer to the lake with the hundred-year-old weeping fig tree.

Free time for swimming. Dinner and overnight stay in the park.

We will continue our journey along the paths of the botanical garden, discovering the customs and traditions of the Ma minority in Talai. After lunch, meet our driver and depart for Dalat. Dinner is at your leisure, and overnight stay at a hotel in Dalat.

This destination is known for its beaches, ranked among the most beautiful in the world, as well as its diving spots around the Hon Mun marine reserve. Check in to your hotel.

Please visit our dive center (or contact them via WhatsApp) upon your arrival in Nha Trang to confirm your 4-day diving schedule (you will be diving independently without a guide; the hotel is a 200-meter walk from the dive center). The center's contact information will be provided on your voucher.

Diving activity with our local center (2 dives per day in the morning on the marine reserve of Mun Island) including pick up and drop off at the hotel, equipment, supervision, snack on board, lunch on board.

Snorkelers are welcomed aboard the boat with equipment and snacks on board.

Accompanying persons who do not board the boat are free for their personal leisure activities.

Lunches are included on board.

The afternoons are free for your personal leisure (there are many things to see and do in Nha Trang (e.g. Vinpearl, mud baths, Cham temples, typical markets, cathedral, beach, oceanographic institute, Lam Son Pagoda of the Great White Buddha…)

Dinner is free each evening and the night is spent at the hotel.

At the domestic terminal of HCM airport, after collecting your luggage, you proceed to the international terminal (5 minutes, 200m on foot), following the signs for check-in for your return international flight.
