Philippe

A professional navigator since 1992, Philippe Corre has an impressive ocean experience behind him with more than a dozen East-West crossings and five West-East returns.

Originally from Brest, he discovered sailing in his childhood, at the age of 7, on Optimist and then Laser/ILCA, before turning to competition. At 28, he left regattas for offshore cruising, embarking on long voyages between Africa, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and the Caribbean, aboard small 8-meter monohulls — including an Armagnac made of plywood, a symbol of freedom and adventure.

Philippe then spent seven years delivering boats in Asia aboard the schooner Raja Laut , before continuing his career between Hyères and Asia, sailing on liveaboard catamarans and private yachts. Passionate about sharing his knowledge, he is also involved in the development of sailing centers in Brittany, working with associations to introduce everyone to the sea.

During his voyages, Philippe likes to share his passion for fishing, observing marine wildlife — whales, birds, butterflies — and this philosophy of slow and contemplative travel , typical of small crews.
