The aim of this course is to provide a first sailing experience on a cruising sailboat. The goal of the training is to understand the role of a crew member on a vessel and to introduce you to the art of sailing! You will sail in the Toulon harbor and as far as the Îles d'Hyères to discover enchanting locations! Learn the maneuvers and essential knowledge for piloting a vessel : windward heading, reefing, speed management, mooring, and much more! Gain an understanding of life aboard a sailboat , including waste management, marine environmental protection, and communal living. By the end of the course, you will have basic piloting skills, chart reading, and the use of navigational instruments. A comprehensive training program that will turn you into a skipper in the making!

    You will be greeted by the skipper at 9:00 AM, followed by an introduction to the crew. Next, the instructor will brief you on the objectives to be achieved at this level, and you will set sail for your first day of sailing on a cruising sailboat. Lunch will be enjoyed together at anchor, and after an afternoon of training, you will return to port at the end of the day for shopping, dinner with the other trainees, and your first night on board.

🚢 Sailing cruise ship - Days 1 to 4

During the course, you will sleep on board the boat. Accommodation is included from the night before the course begins, in case you need to arrive the day before. Cabins are shared between two trainees ; there may be two or three cabins depending on the type of sailboat. One cabin is reserved for the instructor. The sailboats generally used for these courses are between 10 and 14 meters in length, offering both comfort and performance.
