During our cruising sailing course, you will be supervised by qualified instructors who are passionate about sailing. All instructors are state-certified or FFVoile-certified instructors specializing in cruising. Thanks to their extensive experience, our instructors are able to adapt their teaching to the needs and skill levels of each participant. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sailor, they will guide you with patience and care through the various stages of the cruise. They are also attentive to everyone's safety, ensuring that safety rules at sea are respected at all times.

Participants are met directly at the port where they get acquainted with the crew. After a friendly introduction, a briefing details the course program and the safety rules to be followed on board. The afternoon is dedicated to an initial introduction to sailing maneuvers: learning to hoist the sails, steer, and understand how to change tacks smoothly. The day begins with a sail to a new Spanish port, providing an opportunity to put the basics learned the previous day into practice. Each participant actively participates in the maneuvers, under the watchful eye of the crew. Before boarding, everyone takes care of the food shopping, an arrangement that maximizes time at sea and allows everyone to fully enjoy this unique experience. Food shopping and berth fees are not included in the price (onboard expenses approximately €15 per person per day).

The day begins with a hands-on workshop on reading nautical charts and using a compass. You'll learn how to interpret essential information for safe navigation. Then, it's off to San Sebastián Bay, where you'll practice your first maneuvers at sea.
The morning is dedicated to a weather workshop, where you'll learn to anticipate sea conditions using forecasts and observations. You'll also explore nautical terminology, essential for effective communication on board. In the afternoon, you'll return to sea to hone your navigation skills around the bay.

Depart for a full day at sea, sailing to Getaria. Take advantage of this crossing to hone your safety maneuvers and practice man overboard recovery, an essential skill for any sailor. Once you arrive, discover the charm of the village of Getaria and explore its new port, a true symbol of modernity and maritime tradition. The evening continues at your leisure with a tapas (or pintxos) tasting, an unmissable gastronomic experience to savor the local flavors.

By familiarizing yourself with sail trimming to optimize your sailing, you'll prepare calmly for the adventure ahead. After a final equipment check, you'll set off for a new Spanish port. The journey will be punctuated by maneuvers and adjustments to make the most of the wind conditions. You'll enjoy the seascape while honing your skills.
Day 4 -
Return and Summary

The sailing begins with the return to the departure port, an excellent opportunity to put the skills acquired during the course into practice. Throughout the day, you'll participate in hands-on mooring and anchoring exercises, essential for gaining independence. The course concludes with a personalized debriefing, where each participant receives their FFVoile (French Sailing Federation) booklet. This is followed by a social gathering with the group, a wonderful way to end the experience in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
