We'll depart at 9:30 am for a hike in the Champsaur valley. We'll start from a south-facing slope at an altitude of 1850 m. We'll pass a few alpine chalets before reaching a rocky outcrop, the perfect spot for a picnic.
We will set off again, following the meanders of a small stream which we will cross to reach a suspended plateau where, with a bit of luck, we may encounter sled dogs.
After a walk across this large plateau, we will climb towards a small summit. From there, we will overlook an old village at the bottom of the valley.
The outing will include a fun session analyzing the snowpack and using safety equipment, led by a ski patroller.
The elevation gain of this magnificent loop is 450 m.
Then, we might have the chance to enjoy a magnificent sunset!
On the way back, we will stop at a local cheese shop and, depending on your wishes, you can indulge in the regional specialties on offer, to take home in your luggage!
In the evening, around 7:30 pm, a meal will be waiting for you at the cottage.
