Volcanoes, rice paddies and manta rays in Bali

Today, accompanied by a local English-speaking guide, take a 2-hour trek through the Balinese rice paddies. You will learn about the entire irrigation system and how to plant rice.

You will pass through local villages, a good opportunity to discover the way of life of the inhabitants and to see their customs and traditions.

Then return to your hotel.

Today your guide and driver will take you to Munduk, a mountain village renowned for its waterfalls and lush jungle.

On the way, stop at the village of Belimbing for a trek of about 2 hours through the Balinese rice paddies and gardens.

Then enjoy a local Balinese meal facing this splendid panorama (sitting on the ground).

A walk still relatively unknown to travelers. Once in Munduk, check into your hotel.

The Munduk region is renowned for its many magnificent waterfalls.

Accompanied by your guide, set off on foot to discover this beautiful region and its lush nature.

You'll pass through small local villages; take the time to discover the inhabitants' way of life. If you feel like it, cool off in one of the waterfalls.

The setting is magnificent, with jungle all around. Return to your hotel.

Today you will join a small village of blacksmiths in the north of the island where you will spend the night with a local family.

You will pass by the splendid viewpoint overlooking Lakes Tamblingan and Buyan.

Accompanied by your guide, begin with a 2-hour descent on foot into the jungle.

Next, climb aboard a canoe on Lake Tamblingan; these are traditional wooden canoes.

Enjoy this unique moment. You are surrounded by Balinese nature!

The view is splendid, absolute calm.

You then spend the rest of the day with your hosts. Live like a true Balinese!

Interact and spend time with your hosts. They will show you their way of life and introduce you to their local customs. Dinner and overnight stay with a local family, simple comforts.

Wake up early, to the sound of the rooster! Exchange ideas and spend time with your new Balinese family.

After lunch, you leave your hosts to resume your journey towards Ubud, the cultural center of Bali.

Once in Ubud, check into your hotel.

Today, your driver and guide will take you to visit the area around Ubud.

Start with the Tegalalang rice terraces. The place is touristy but the view is magnificent!

If you feel like it, enjoy a good Balinese coffee overlooking the rice paddies at one of the many restaurants.

You will then go and discover the sacred springs of Mengening, the neighbors of the famous springs of Tirta Empul, but still little known to travellers.

Then go to the Gunung Kawi temple; despite the 180 steps to descend and then climb back up, the place is really very pleasant and the view spectacular, in the middle of the rice paddies.

Return to your hotel, overnight stay in Ubud.

Early wake-up call! Departure around 2 a.m. from your hotel. Drive towards Mount Batur.

Equipped with your headlamps and after about 2 hours of walking, you find yourself at the summit of Mount Batur!

You will wait for the sun to rise; you are at an altitude of 1700 meters.

The higher the sun rises, the more you discover this splendid panorama: in the distance, the volcanoes Abang, Agung, and Batukaru, and below, Lake Batur. Steam rises from the crater walls.

This splendid view will make you forget your early wake-up call and the climb!

Then you descend the volcano. Put on your swimsuits and go relax in the hot springs of Mount Batur!

A magical moment, the view from the pool is breathtaking.

Return to Ubud and the rest of the day is free.

Today, your driver will take you to the port of Sanur to reach Nusa Lembongan, a small island next to Bali, accessible in about 40 minutes by speedboat.

On this island, cars can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

Once in Nusa Lembongan, transfer and check-in at your hotel.

This morning, climb aboard a small boat to go and meet the manta rays.

Equipped with your mask, snorkel and fins, keep your eyes wide open!

You will visit several spots such as Manta Bay, Gamat Bay, Crystal Bay and Mangrove Point. The activity lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Return to your hotel and the rest of the day is free.
