Miscellaneous equipment:
- a pair of sunglasses (all seasons),
- sunscreen cream,
- 1 or 2 one-liter water bottles,
- For the picnic: pocket knife, cutlery, cup, airtight plastic container like Tupperware (instead of a
plate (very practical, especially for storing cutlery), 1 napkin,
- toiletries, - small personal first-aid kit (disinfectant and plasters, lip balm, bandages)
adhesive blister plasters, Compeed-type double-skin plasters, your usual medications),
- toilet paper, tissues,
- 1 spare pair of eyeglasses (or contact lenses),
- 2 or 3 plastic bags for picnic leftovers, - flashlight or headlamp,
Other optional equipment: walking sticks (recommended), 1 pair of binoculars, camera…
Luggage :
All your belongings should be divided into two bags:
- 1 backpack (35/40 litres) with a flexible frame and a waist belt, capable of holding the day's food, a water bottle,
a raincoat, a camera...
- 1 soft travel bag for the week's belongings (note that it must not exceed 13 kg).
Your walking clothes (the list should be adapted according to the season):
- For the trip to the Bay of Somme: boots, warm clothes, windbreaker, water, and a pair of binoculars.
Don't forget to pack your walking shoes in your backpack for the hike following the trip to the bay!
- good hiking boots (with good treads, not necessarily high-tops, but with good traction)
you feel good and that you have already used),
- a pair of light shoes for the evening (this could be a pair of sports shoes that can replace the ones
hiking (in case of foot pain),
- sports or hiking socks,
- canvas trousers (quick-drying),
- shorts or skirt, - sweater or fleece jacket, - t-shirts or light shirts,
- a waterproof jacket (Gore-Tex type), - a rain cape or poncho (which will also protect the backpack)
- a hat and sunglasses, - a beanie,
- a pair of lightweight gloves and waterproof over-trousers (from autumn to spring),
- a swimsuit and a small bath towel,
- comfortable change of clothes for the evening.
