Day 1 -
Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

After breakfast, we meet our guide for a briefing on the trip. Today's itinerary: Teide National Park. We begin by visiting the visitor center dedicated to the National Park. Facing the magnificent Teide volcano (3,718 m), we hike across plains and volcanic dunes. During this walk, we can appreciate the striking variations in color and shape of the volcanic rocks in the national park. A truly unique landscape awaits us. In the afternoon, we will also visit the Cañadas Blancas information center.
Day 2 -
The Anaga Massif Rural Park and the Laguna

By minibus, we depart for the far north of the island, towards the Anaga Massif. A rural park since 1994 and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2015, a surprising day awaits you: small, forgotten villages with houses built into the very heart of the rock, winding canals, and traditional livestock farming in caves once inhabited by the Guanches (the first inhabitants of Tenerife). We then take the minibus again and stop in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage city. We have free time to explore the city and do some shopping.
Day 3 -
Las Vegas - Ferry to La Gomera

Our hike this morning takes us to the heights of Granadilla de Abona, through a magnificent forest landscape of Canary Island pines, caves, and caverns. The geological conditions of this area in southeastern Tenerife make it easy to build cave dwellings, which are an integral part of the traditional housing culture of southern Tenerife. We then head to the port of Los Cristianos to catch the ferry to La Gomera (approximately a 1-hour crossing), where we'll settle into our new accommodation for the next three nights.
Day 4 -
Red Mountain and Agulo

We head to the National Park visitor center. After the visit, we descend to Agulo, passing through the red mountain where we have a picnic lunch. We follow a "camino real," a cobbled path once used by locals to travel and transport goods to the coast, where they were loaded onto ships bound for England, among other destinations. In Agulo, we have free time to explore the streets of this charming little colonial town.Day 5 -
Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The trail leads us to the foot of El Cedro waterfall, the highest on the island, and continues through the primary forest of the national park, which covers over 4,000 hectares and is home to more than 400 plant species. We stop at the small chapel of Lourdes before venturing into the laurel and tree heaths. At the end of the hike, we travel to San Sebastian, the capital of La Gomera. There's an opportunity to visit the city or enjoy a swim at the beach.Day 6 -
La Caleta and Majona Park - South Tenerife

From the heights of the Hermigua Valley, we follow a trail through ancient terraces, isolated hamlets, and pastures. On a clear day, we enjoy a magnificent view of the island of Tenerife. The hike leads us to the seaside, where we can enjoy a refreshing swim, weather permitting. We then head to the port of San Sebastian to catch the ferry to Tenerife (approximately a 1-hour crossing). On Tenerife, we settle into an apartment in the south of the island.Day 7 -
