Dog sledding expedition in Dividalen National Park

In the heart of our sled dog farm, in a preserved valley in northern Norway, you will stay in an authentic log house that is over 150 years old.

Surrounded by forests, rivers, and mountains, this former family farm offers a unique immersion into the daily life of the Far North. The dogs live a few steps from the house, and travelers share the rhythm of life of our small family team for a few days.

After a day in the mountains, the house becomes a warm place to gather around a meal, share stories of the day or simply enjoy the peace and quiet and the surrounding nature.

Far from the most frequented areas, we favour small groups, human encounters and an authentic discovery of Arctic Norway.

Meals are prepared by our team and served at the gîte in a friendly atmosphere.

We prioritize local products and Nordic specialties as much as possible: elk or reindeer meat, fish from Norway, as well as various wild berries picked locally according to the season, such as blueberries or cranberries.

Breakfast and dinner are taken together at the gîte. On activity days, lunch is generally served outdoors, around a campfire or in mountain huts depending on the route.

During the expedition, we spend several nights in different mountain chalets located in the heart of Dividalen National Park.

These mountain huts are part of a long Norwegian tradition of mountain living. Accessible only by dog ​​sled, skis or on foot depending on the season, they offer a warm and comfortable setting amidst unspoiled nature.

Built of wood and meticulously maintained, they typically feature proper bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a wood-burning stove. After a day on the slopes, they become ideal places to share a meal, exchange stories of the day, and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains.

One of the shelters used during the expedition is also our own mountain chalet, located far from any road and accessible only via traditional routes through the national park.

Staying in these chalets is an integral part of the experience and allows you to discover an authentic facet of Norwegian outdoor culture.

Participants are accommodated in small shared rooms located inside mountain huts.

Most rooms have four beds. The beds are equipped with mattresses, pillows, and duvets, in keeping with the tradition of Norwegian mountain huts. For hygiene and comfort reasons, we also use our own sleeping bags during the expedition.

The common areas generally include a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a living room where the group gathers each evening.

The mountain huts offer cozy comfort in the heart of the mountains, while preserving the spirit of Norwegian outdoor traditions. Water is usually drawn from the nearest lake or river, a small daily task that is fully part of the experience.

Meals are prepared by the guides and shared with the group in the mountain chalets. After a day spent on the slopes, evenings are spent around the wood stove in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The mountain huts generally have a fully equipped kitchen, allowing for comfortable meal preparation. Depending on the conditions and the route, certain daily tasks are part of the experience, such as fetching water from the river or nearby lake, lighting the stove, or preparing firewood.

Breakfast and dinner are taken in the cabins. Lunches are generally served outdoors during the expedition, around a campfire or during breaks along the route.
