The expert's opinion

Kiteboarding and surfing courses are available for beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced levels. Instructors will adapt to each participant's level to support their progress. Participants must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by an adult .


This trip is offered with individual arrival and departure dates to give you maximum flexibility. You'll meet other participants on site. If you're traveling solo, you'll be in lessons with other kitesurfers of the same level. The kitesurfing club welcomes more than 20 participants per week during peak season. Free time is at the travelers' own expense. Follow the advice of the local team to make the most of your destination after your kitesurfing and surfing lessons: a stroll through the medina, recommendations for great couscous restaurants, Moroccan cooking classes, yoga classes, a traditional hammam and massage, horseback riding, camel riding, or quad biking...

For kitesurfing:

  1. Group lessons : maximum 4 trainees + 2 kites + 1 instructor (1 kite shared between 2 trainees, exercises in pairs by level)
  2. Semi-private lessons : maximum 2 students + 2 kites + 1 instructor (1 kite per student)


If you are traveling alone, you will automatically be enrolled in a semi-private course. You will be paired with another student of a similar level. If you are traveling as a couple and are at the same level, you will have the choice between group or semi-private lessons. If you have two different levels, you must choose semi-private lessons to benefit from equipment adapted to your levels. If this option was not selected at the time of booking, it will be charged on site.

    Settle into your room in one of the three accommodation options: Riad, Hotel, or Apartment. From the day of your arrival, explore the Medina and the enchanting city of Essaouira. Meet the team at the kitesurfing club, where they will share the week's program with you. If you arrive in the morning, you can start your first lesson that very afternoon.

The program includes 3 kitesurfing sessions and 3 surfing sessions. The scheduling of lessons throughout the week depends on the weather forecast. This trip is designed to be flexible depending on the conditions.

  1. If the weather forecast offers a week of optimal wind, you can do a 100% kitesurfing course.
  2. If the wind isn't cooperating, replace kitesurfing with a surf trip and explore the local spots.

Accommodation

🏨 3-star hotel - Days 1 to 7

Several accommodation options will be offered, depending on the dates and availability:

  1. Hotel Vent des Dunes: a small hotel with 11 rooms located in the beach district, just outside the old town. Enjoy the tranquility of the garden and the small relaxation pool, and unwind at the spa after a kitesurfing lesson. Meals are served on the hotel's beautiful rooftop terrace.
  2. Kite Paradise Apartment: a modern and comfortable residence located opposite the kitesurfing club. You'll feel right at home in this fully equipped apartment, which has two bedrooms, each with its own toilet and bathroom. If you book only one bedroom, you will be sharing with other kitesurfers. You will have a private bedroom. Breakfast is not included in this accommodation.
  3. Maison du Sud: a splendid traditional riad with 24 rooms, in the heart of the Medina. This riad is distinguished by its two magnificent interior patios and its warm Moroccan décor. Relax at the end of the day on the large rooftop terrace overlooking the old city.
  4. Riad L'Ayel: in the heart of the Medina, on a quiet alley, just 100 meters from the main thoroughfare. This charming 5-bedroom riad is appreciated for its refined decor and the kindness of its hosts. Start your day with a delicious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace.
  5. Riad Yahya Zamane: very close to the Medina in a quiet alley 300m from the main road. This authentic 19th-century house has reopened its doors.
