Two days in the heart of the wild gorges of the upper Allier River and 32 km on the water between Prades and Lavoûte-Chilhac, with an overnight stop in Langeac. In short, the complete Allier Gorge journey by canoe or kayak – this is the incredible adventure that awaits you. For even more immersion in nature, you'll spend the night camping . The Allier is one of the last wild rivers in Europe, where nature truly springs forth. On the first day, we'll welcome you at 9:30 am at the Langeac campsite, where we'll begin with a 15 km descent back to Langeac. Then, on the second day, you'll set off again for a 17 km descent to reach Lavoûte-Chilhac.

    You have a meeting at 9:30 am in Langeac (43300) at the Gorges de l'Allier campsite. Equipment will be distributed, and a minibus shuttle will take you to Prades. Then it's off for a 15 km route through the heart of the gorges, between Prades and Langeac. Navigating amidst basalt cliffs and granite boulders, you can admire the Chapel of St. Marie des Chazes and the Chanteuges Abbey. Before arriving, let yourself slide down the Langeac dam's natural water slide – beware of the refreshing wave at the bottom!

Note

Day 1: Meet at 9:30 am in the town of Langeac 43300 at the Gorges de l'Allier campsite, hand over equipment, shuttle by minibus to Prades, 15 km route to Langeac, overnight at the campsite (reserved pitch).

Day 2: departure before 12pm, for a 17km route between Langeac and Lavoûte-Chilhac, once arrived return by minibus to Langeac around 4:30pm.

You will be accommodated at the Langeac campsite in a tent.

Please note that camping is not included in the price of the stay: you will need to pay approximately €9 per person per night on site.

This 3* campsite is located at the entrance to the Gorges de l'Allier, a 5-minute walk from the centre of Langeac, a lively little town with the colours of southern Auvergne.

It is a large wooded park of 14 hectares on the water's edge, with a relaxed atmosphere and great comfort of facilities.

Young and old alike will happily gather around the pool and along the banks of the Allier river .
