Horseback riding in Catalonia

After a good breakfast, we prepare our horses with the help and recommendations of our guide.

Today, our destination is the village of Ravós del Terri with its beautiful historic castle. We cross the "Serra" through fields and forests where we can enjoy beautiful panoramas of the northern Girona region, all the way to the Pyrenees mountains.

After the picnic, we return to our farm along a path bordering agricultural land and farms, typical of Catalonia! Upon arrival, we can enjoy some relaxing moments in the gardens, or in the company of the horses before dinner.

Today, we're off to the beautiful, unspoiled region of Vilademuls. Leaving our farm and heading north, we pass through the small village of Vilafreser and its Gothic-Renaissance church, originally Romanesque, with a 14th-century facade. We enjoy pleasant trots and canters along country lanes through a dense forest, before finally stopping for our lunch break. A delicious picnic awaits us near the village of Tarradelles.

On the way back, we pass by farms, fields, and typical crops. In the distance, we can see the medieval defensive tower of Vilafreser. Its impressive height of 18 meters makes it an exception in Catalonia. We then head back to our farm to relax at the end of the day.

Horseback riding duration: 4 to 6 hours

After a hearty breakfast to fuel our spirits, we rejoin our horses. Our route takes us through magnificent poplar and beech forests, alongside the Ter River. We pass through the village of Medinyà and its castle, from where we can see the Gavarres mountains.

We stop by the river for a delicious picnic and a well-deserved break. Weather permitting, we can even dip our toes in the water with the horses. We then set off again towards our farm, alternating between narrow paths and vast meadows, to reach the village of Cervià de Ter where we can explore the castle.

At the end of our day, we can enjoy some relaxing moments on the terrace overlooking the horses.

Horseback riding duration: 4 to 6 hours

We find our mounts and prepare them for the day. Today, we ride through the Mediterranean forest, following the mountain ridge, which offers magnificent views. We arrive at the Fluvià River, near the town of Báscara and its famous racecourse, where we'll set off for some exhilarating gallops.

To reach Galliners, where we will have our picnic, we cross sublime traditional landscapes between olive groves, cereal fields, small churches and oak forests.

This afternoon, we are heading to Can Grau, near Vilamarí, where we are enjoying a quick dip in the pool to relax (in summer).
