Horseback riding and transhumance from the city to the sea

Your journey begins on the red schist trails, emblematic of the Brocéliande region. The route first leads you to the Careil pond bird sanctuary, a prime spot for observing local wildlife. You then continue your trek into the heart of the Chambre au Loup valley, where the landscape transforms into more rugged terrain, a mix of heathland, gorse, and broom. This first stage of approximately 14km ends on the shores of Lake Trémelin, your overnight stop.

You leave the peaceful shores of Lake Trémelin to venture into the Breton countryside towards Iffendic. This varied route alternates between rural landscapes and more urban sections, particularly during your passage through Montauban-de-Bretagne.

The trail then continues pleasantly along the edge of the forest, offering a natural immersion before reaching the Lou-du-Lac chapel, a highlight of your route. Your day's hike concludes with your arrival at the Château du Quengo, a privileged historical setting for your evening stop.

We leave the castle via sunken lanes typical of the region, heading towards Bécherel . This charming little town is renowned for its picturesque streets and numerous bookshops. After a lunch break at a restaurant (not included), we continue through the Breton countryside on trails perfect for exhilarating gallops towards the Bretineuc pond .

At the end of the day, we pass the charming port of Evran before leaving the horses for the night.

Transfer by car to Dinan .

Starting from Évran, we take the towpath along the Rance River. We follow the river upstream along shaded paths punctuated by locks, leading us to Dinan, an old medieval town with winding streets where 15th-century houses can still be seen. We stop opposite the port of Dinan, giving us the opportunity to stroll around and enjoy some free time. After lunch, we continue our journey towards the estuary, taking the greenway. In the late afternoon, we arrive at the former Pleslin-Trigavou train station, now converted into a gîte (a type of rural accommodation).

We leave Pleslin-Trigavou and head up the Frémur valley. The "Bois-Joli" trail follows the valley in a peaceful setting, between woodland, meadows, and ponds. This shaded walk offers a beautiful discovery of the natural landscape of the Emerald Coast's hinterland.

We pass through Ploubalay before finally arriving in the bay of Beaussais, an open landscape overlooking the sea where salt marshes, small harbors, and calm waters mingle. Depending on the tide, we'll take the opportunity to swim with the horses or enjoy long gallops on the sand.

We leave the horses at their summer camp before heading a few minutes' drive to our yurts for the last night.

For this final day, we return to the bay to enjoy a breath of fresh sea air. As yesterday, we'll adapt the program according to the tides, alternating between swimming with the horses and a complete tour of the bay. We'll have the opportunity to explore the port of Saint-Jacut, enjoy long gallops out to sea, stroll along the water's edge, and stop to savor some oysters (optional).

The ride comes to an end and we leave our horses before heading back to Rennes.
