On Ha Long Bay, one night aboard a junk equipped with air-conditioned cabins for 2 people, of good standard with private toilet and bathroom.
- Staying with a local resident:
During the hikes/treks, you'll stay with local families to encourage interaction, discovery, and sharing with the community. You'll usually be welcomed into the main room of their house, where you'll eat meals and spend the night. Mattresses, light blankets (you'll need to bring a sleeping bag or liner depending on the season), and mosquito nets are provided. Comfort is often basic, but you'll experience a warm and friendly atmosphere. There's no hot water or heating, but almost all houses have electricity (though it can be unreliable at times!).
