    From the west coast, you'll travel by 4x4 for about 10km to the Rivière des Galets , reaching a place called Deux Bras . This is where your hike on the GRR2 begins, winding through a wild and rugged landscape. You'll continue on foot to the peaceful hamlet of Aurère , nestled on the slopes of the Mafate cirque, where you'll spend the night in a traditional mountain refuge .
