In a few words
This is not a yoga retreat we are offering. Nor is it a typical tourist trip. This journey is an invitation to celebrate life in all its forms.
Life within, through integrative practices— Fly Yin, Yin Yoga, Flow Yin —that open the body, stimulate energy, and calm the mind. Life around us, in the abundant nature of Senegal, among free-roaming horses, birds, fruit trees, and in genuine encounters with those who inhabit this land. We will be introduced to Senegalese dance , an intuitive practice that requires no prerequisites other than joy.
We will share simple and tasty food, local and seasonal, produced using permaculture.
We will make room for joy: laughter, dancing, music, and festive moments. And we will cultivate breath, respiration, and meditation, as gateways to a greater sense of presence. We will be introduced to the art of touch (through Shiatsu and Chi Nei Tsang).
A stay to savor the beauty of life, in its depth and also its lightness.

The expert's opinion
Yin Yoga, Fly Yoga, and African dance require no prior experience. All that matters is the joy of movement, listening to your body, and feeling its energy. However, a reasonable level of fitness is recommended to fully enjoy the itinerant nature of this trip, the discoveries, the encounters, the long swims, and the walks along the beach that connect all our activity and dining locations.

Management
A tender and joyful alliance
Sandrine lived in Africa for 10 years, where she became a mother, among other things. Driven by comprehensive training in Hatha and Yin Yoga, Fascia Yoga, Animal Flow, and Fly Heart Yoga (aerial), she now dedicates herself full-time to teaching and sharing these practices. She is also a certified Shiatsu practitioner. Through her travels and experiences—particularly in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa—she has developed a sensitive and respectful approach.
Today, she guides her students in the subtle listening to the body, promotes regenerative slowness and deep relaxation in her yin yoga and Fly Heart yoga workshops, blending technique, creativity and somatic support.
Valérie: For thirty years, Valérie has lived in Senegal. A lifelong friend and a true enthusiast of this territory, she imagines and orchestrates each of our immersions with contagious energy, a perfect knowledge of the country and a remarkable sense of hospitality.
Thanks to her inquisitive eye and local network, she opens the doors to an authentic Senegal, far from the tourist trails. Intimate walks, inspiring encounters, gourmet addresses, artisans, preserved places, or unusual experiences… each stay is punctuated by carefully chosen discoveries to reveal the full richness of the region.

Senegal on the Move – A Deeply Enriching Journey
This itinerant journey was born from a story, many years of living in Senegal, of encounters, discoveries and of these magical places which, over time, have become our little treasures.
Valérie and I wanted to open the doors to "our" Senegal for you. The one we love, that we have lived in, explored and come to know over the years. An authentic, generous and contrasting Senegal, rich in its landscapes, its biodiversity, its cultures and its encounters.
From the Somone lagoon to the ronier forests of Sine-Saloum, from the bolongs to the coastal villages, from the palm groves to the shores of the Atlantic, we have imagined an itinerary punctuated with unique places, beautiful addresses and sometimes unexpected experiences.
But this journey is not just about discovering a territory. It is also an exploration of oneself and of one's connection to others.
Through physical practices, movement, yoga, encounters, immersions in nature, cultural experiences, culinary discoveries and festive moments, we invite you to live a multifaceted adventure, where each step nourishes a facet of our being.
A journey to slow down, feel, marvel, break out of your routine, open yourself to other horizons and rediscover the simple pleasure of being fully alive.
We envisioned this trip as a series of interconnected experiences...
Accommodation
The Dalaal Diam Eco Lodge is not a hotel. It is an atypical guesthouse, born from a somewhat crazy dream: to create a self-sufficient place, respectful of its environment, where one comes to slow down, breathe and reconnect with the essentials.
This is an experience we invite you to share. Here, there's no air conditioning (unnecessary in February in Senegal anyway), no television, no artificial entertainment. Comfort is found elsewhere: in the birdsong at dawn, the rustling of the wind in the casuarina trees, the sunsets over the bush, and the rediscovery of time.
The accommodations, all different, are integrated into a multi-hectare estate dedicated to the preservation of nature and the well-being of its inhabitants, both human and animal.
The estate operates autonomously thanks to its own solar electricity production, water management, and resource recycling. This ecological approach is an integral part of the experience.
Dalaal Diam also houses a refuge where horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, rabbits, pigeons, hedgehogs and other animals collected over the years live.

Alternatively, 5 km away you will find the most beautiful beach dune in the region, for an immersion in an ocean of pleasure.
On the edge of the lagoon, lively "Rasta" beach huts will offer you menus prepared with seafood.
Located 10 km from our Lodge, the Bandia reserve with its giraffes, antelopes, rhinoceroses, crocodiles & co .... are waiting for you!
And opposite, Accro Baobabs extends its branches to the most daring.
Whether it's learning to fish or simply watching the fishermen return to the beach, or enjoying water sports...
Visit to cultural sites: Goree Island, the shell island of Joal-Fadiouth and its millet granaries on stilts, Goree Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the pink lake...
Watch and participate in the wrestling matches on the beach...

Nature Escape in the Heart of the Sine Saloum
Nestled in the heart of the Sine Saloum Delta, the Marlodge Island Ecolodge is the beating heart of our traveling journey. It offers immersive experiences in nature that are unique, spectacular, and completely respectful of the ecological wonders in which it is situated.
This ecolodge is the story of a dream come true, in the heart of the Serer land, in the Sine Saloum. Nestled between bolongs, savannah and palm forests, this unique place invites lovers of nature and authenticity to come together and share precious moments.
A unique adventure aboard a dugout canoe, to explore the hidden wonders of the Sine Saloum mangroves.
A captivating spectacle of a sunset over the expanses of the tann and its majestic forest of palm trees.

The Lisse Stone – A return to the roots, between memories and the ocean
Welcome to our little corner of historical paradise!
Nestled in a verdant setting, facing the ocean, La Pierre de Lisse, in Ndayane, near Toubab Dialaw, is much more than just a beautiful address for us. It is a place deeply rooted in our Senegalese history, the history of our early years, where our children grew up, where we welcomed friends from France for the holidays, and where we experienced our first stirrings of love to the rhythm of Senegalese dance.
Between tropical garden, charming cottages, swimming pool and beach, we find here a special atmosphere, made of gentleness, simplicity and happy memories.
A very emotional step, to share with you a little bit of our history, to rediscover the landscapes of our first Senegalese adventures and to savor together this interlude by the ocean.
A return to our roots, quite simply, and a beautiful way to celebrate the ties that bind us to this country.

MAMPUYA is a Senegalese NGO whose origins date back to 2002. Its areas of activity include biodiversity and reforestation, the promotion of organic farming, training, and sustainable development. The Centre's nature reserve is home to lush biodiversity. For several years, the center has organized dance and yoga workshops with renowned instructors. We will immerse ourselves in a unique place, remarkable for its ecosystem, its history, its energy, and the quality of its teaching.
From its earliest projects, MAMPUYA has always placed sustainable development, particularly in rural areas, at the heart of its activities. MAMPUYA has increasingly focused on larger-scale ecological and agro-ecological projects that have an impact beyond the local level.
