Welcome to Vallouise: settling into the chalet and taking your first steps into winter

Your stay begins gently: arrive at the chalet from 5 pm onwards to settle in comfortably and drop off your luggage. Pick up your cross-country ski equipment, ready to use for the next few days. Once settled, make yourself a nice hot cup of tea and enjoy the tranquility of your wooden chalet, immersing yourself in the winter atmosphere.
In the late afternoon or evening, let yourself be swept away by the magic of winter: a stroll through the heart of the village of Vallouise, before or after dinner, will allow you to discover its picturesque streets blanketed in snow. As for restaurants, several traditional establishments await you in the village for a delightful first evening, offering hearty mountain dishes and a warm atmosphere.

Time to learn: meet your ESF instructor at 10am on the cross-country ski trails for two hours of private lessons.
Whether you are discovering the discipline or wish to refine your technique, this tailor-made course will allow you to lay the right foundations in an exceptional setting, surrounded by the peaks of the Écrins.
At midday, head to the Nordic area's food truck, which offers simple and generous home-style cooking, ideal for regaining strength before heading back out to explore the slopes or enjoying your afternoon.
The afternoon is perfect for relaxation: after a well-deserved shower, why not visit the Maison du Parc National des Écrins to learn all about this exceptional territory, or opt for a beautiful walk along the paths of the Vallouise, between frozen streams and snowy panoramas.

New appointment at 10am with your ESF instructor for your second private cross-country skiing lesson.
This second session will allow you to consolidate the gains of the previous day and to gain ease, fluidity and confidence on the trails of the Vallouise Nordic area.
The afternoon is entirely free, allowing you to enjoy your stay at your own pace. Why not treat yourself to a moment of pure relaxation?
A relaxing massage or a getaway to one of the town's wellness centers will perfectly complement your sporting efforts of the last two days.
A day combining skiing progress and a relaxing break, to fully enjoy your stay in the great outdoors before returning home.

Last free-wheeling glide before the return from Vallouise

It's already time to leave your chalet, but there's no question of leaving without one last session on the skis! Departure is set for 10am, with the possibility of leaving your belongings at reception to fully enjoy your morning.
Put on your cross-country skis one last time for a free-spirited outing on the Nordic ski area, following the trails you learned to master during your stay. A great opportunity to put everything you learned with your instructor into practice, in a setting that is as breathtaking as ever.
Before hitting the road again, all you have to do is return your equipment and collect your belongings at reception, your head full of memories of a successful immersion in the heart of the Écrins.

Note
The meal provided by the food truck on day 2 and the massage on day 3 are not included in the price of your stay. Visiting the Écrins National Park Visitor Centre in La Vallouise is free and open to all. For your independent walks, a map showing all the hiking trails is available on site.

As soon as you step out of the chalet, put on your cross-country skis: the Nordic ski area runs right through the property, alongside the stream. No need for a car, the snow starts at your doorstep. The resorts of Pelvoux-Vallouise and Puy-Saint-Vincent, less than 5 km away, offer even more activities with downhill skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and dog sledding. And just a short walk away, the charming village of Vallouise welcomes you with its alpine streets and local shops.
Back at the chalet, enjoy an interior designed for winter comfort: cozy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and above all, a wood-burning stove that invites you to relax after a day on the slopes. The large terrace offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of the Écrins mountains, extending the magic of the setting well into the evening.
