By train

The nearest train station is Mont-Dauphin - Guillestre (located approximately 15 km away).

  1. From Paris: * By day: Take a TGV to Valence TGV or Grenoble , then make a connection by TER to the Mont-Dauphin - Guillestre station (approximately 6h30 to 7h total journey time).
  2. At night: There is a direct night train (Intercités) departing from Paris-Austerlitz which arrives in Mont-Dauphin in the early morning (approximately 9 hours 30 minutes journey).
  3. Connection between the train station and Vars:
  4. By bus: The ZOU 571 bus line provides a link between the train station and the various hamlets of Vars (Sainte-Marie, Les Claux). The journey takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes .
  5. By taxi: Allow approximately 20 minutes for an average fare between €45 and €65 depending on the time of day and your precise destination within the station.
