  1. By bus: Take the direct regional bus line 680 (Postbus) from Zell am See train station to the center of Saalbach ( Saalbach Schattberg X-Press or Saalbach Tourismusverband stop). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes (tickets cost approximately €5-7 each way). From the bus stop, the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk (approximately 800-900 m).
  2. By taxi: Taxis are available outside Zell am See train station. The journey to Hotel Altachhof takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes (expect to pay between €45 and €60).

  1. From Paris (approximately 10 to 10.5 hours drive - ~980 km): Take the A4 motorway towards Strasbourg, then enter Germany on the A8 motorway via Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, and Munich. Continue on the A8 towards Salzburg, then take the German exit towards Siegsdorf/Inzell (B306/B312) towards Lofer. Continue on the B311 to Maishofen, then take the L111 ( Glemmtaler Landesstraße ) to Saalbach and follow the signs to Altachweg.
  2. From Munich (approximately 2.5 hours drive - ~175 km): Take the A8 motorway towards Salzburg. Take the Siegsdorf/Traunstein exit, follow the B306 then the B312 to Lofer, continue on the B311 to Maishofen, and then take the L111 to Saalbach. (Note: In Austria, a motorway vignette is mandatory on motorways, and winter equipment – ​​snow tires or chains – is legally required from November to mid-April).
